Helmcken Falls

Experience the fourth largest waterfall in Canada. Helmcken Falls viewpoint its easy accessible by car within minutes from Moul Creek Lodge B & B. 

Moul Falls Trail

Our go behind waterfall. This beautiful and relatively short hike is one of the most popular in Wells Gray provincial Park.  Just 3 km from Moul Creek Lodge to the trailhead.

Green Mountain Viewing Tower

An iconic viewpoint to capture photos, with 270 degrees view over the entire valley and surrounding high mountains.

Spahats Falls

This wide and flat hike leads to a high cliff overlooking the Spahats Falls coming out of a narrow and deep canyon.

Dawson Falls

A wide horseshoe shaped waterfall within Wells Gray Park. An easy 10 minutes-walk leads you to the also called miniature Niagara Falls.

Clearwater Lake

Driving the Clearwater Valley Road to the end you reach the 24 km long Clearwater Lake. A paradise for canoe or kayak lovers in Wells Gray Park. Up to a small canal you can access Azure Lake and at its very far end the Rainbow Falls. 

Clearwater Lake Tours offers a day tour to the Rainbow Falls by speed boat, included lunch, canoeing and fishing. Well worth to book in advance.

Trophy Mountain Flower Meadows

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Trophy Mountain Flower Meadow. After snow is melting in June you can spot the first glacier lilies. Later in July and August a spectacular view open after a 45-minute hike over huge wildflower meadows as far you can see.

Bailey’s Chute

Take this 15-minute nature trail to the Bailey’s Chute viewing platform and be amazed how much energy a Salmon can generate to jump the rapids to get to its spawning ground.  

Not just a stop over

Even if you only want to explore a few of our spectacular places of interest, such as Helmcken Falls, Dawson Falls or Green Mountain Viewing Tower, you will need a minimum stay of two nights.

Hiking

Explore Wells Gray Park on your own pace, on your own feet, it’s a hiker’s haven. You can access many trails right from the corridor – the Clearwater Valley Road. With trails for every level of hiker, half of the adventure is which hiking trail you choose. From Alpine Hiking in the Trophy Mountain Flower Meadows or just a stroll along Murtle or Clearwater Rivers to interpretive hikes to understand history, geology and wildlife that makes up Wells Gray, you can find it all.  

Whitewater Rafting

Make a splash and pick your adventure from our local outfitters. From a family float up to a wide-eyed, wild ride on the Clearwater River’s roiling rapids its up to you. Just keep in mind, a keen sense of adventure and a waterproof camera are all you’ll need to create a lifetime worth of memories.

Canoeing

Wells Gray Park and Clearwater is simply the best place on earth for canoe-touring. Enjoy one of this dip and glide moment of “now” and paddle into untouched landscapes. Just you, the sound of wind on the trees and the splash of your fishing line.
